Prayer for the Sick

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician
and Healer of the sick,
we turn to you in this time of illness
of our family members, friends and parishioners.

O dearest comforter of the troubled,
alleviate their worry and sorrow with your
gentle love, and grant them the grace
and strength to accept this burden.

Dear God, we place our worries in your hands.
We place our sick under your care
and humbly ask that you restore
your servants to health again.

Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge
your will and know that whatever you do,
you do for the love of us.

Amen.

Oración por un Enfermo

Señor Jesús, aquel (aquella) a quien amas está enfermo (a). Tú lo puedes todo; te pido humildemente que le devuelvas la salud. Pero, sin son otros tus designios, te pido le concedas la gracia de sobrellevar cristianamente su enfermedad.

En los caminos de Palestina tratabas a los enfermos con tal delicadeza que todos venía a ti, dame esa misma dulzura, ese tacto que es tan difícil de tener cuando se esta sano.

Que yo sepa dominar mi nerviosismo para no agobiarle, que sepa sacrificar una parte de mis ocupaciones para acompañarles, si es su deseo.

Yo estoy lleno de vida, Señor, y te doy gracias por ello. Pero haz que el sufrimiento de los demás me santifique, formándome en la abnegación y en la caridad. Amén
